This half term is our last in year 2! Where has the time gone? More and more lessons will be outside, even though we don’t have Forest School this term. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at sports day on the 28th June.
In English this term we will be reading ‘Rosie Revere Engineer’. To start the term, we will be writing a narrative based on the vehicle text. After that, we will be writing an instruction text. As usual we will be focussing on new grammar and punctuation as the term continues. Phonics/reading will take place each morning. New books will be handed out on a Monday and Friday. Please ensure you child brings their diary in each day.
Maths lessons will be recapping and expanding our knowledge on multiplication and linking this to division in maths. We will then move on to using everything we have learned so far and putting this into practice by using them in different contexts such as mass, weight and temperature.
PE will be every Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Please ensure your child arrives to school in their PE kit on these days.
Homework will be available to access on Google Classroom each week and is listed below;
- Daily Reading.
Spelling, maths and Writing will be uploaded onto the Google Classroom every Friday and is to be completed by the following Friday.
Our school day will start at 08:40 and and will finish at 15:00. For the safety of yourself and others, please keep a social distance and wear face coverings when on the school grounds.
Please see the topic web below that shows what we will be studying this term.
We cannot wait to have you back in the classroom,
Mr Marland & Mrs O’sullivan
