This half term we some the leaves back on the trees as summer is only around the corner. More and more lessons will be outside including forest schools. This will take place on a Tuesday afternoon and will take place outside, regardless of the weather. Please make sure your child is appropriately prepared for the weather and are wearing old clothes. Children will be expected to arrive at school in their clothes for forest school.
In English this term we will be reading ‘Jack and the Baked Beanstalk’ . To start the term, we will be writing a persuasive letter. After that, we will be writing a narrative with a twist. As usual we will be focussing on new grammar and punctuation as the term continues. Phonics/reading will take place each morning. New books will be handed out on a Monday and Friday. Please ensure you child brings their diary in each day.
Maths lessons will be recapping and expanding our knowledge on multiplication and linking this to division in maths. We will then move on to using everything we have learned so far and putting this into practice by using them in different contexts such as mass, weight and temperature.
PE will be every Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Please ensure your child arrives to school in their PE kit on these days.
Homework will be available to access on Google Classroom each week and is listed below;
- Daily Reading.
Spelling, maths and Writing will be uploaded onto the Google Classroom every Friday and is to be completed by the following Friday.
Our school day will start at 08:40 and and will finish at 15:00. For the safety of yourself and others, please keep a social distance and wear face coverings when on the school grounds.
