  • Ms Fiona Whittaker

    Executive Headteacher

    Fiona has led four Primary schools as Headteacher, giving her the opportunity to develop her leadership skills, enabling her to improve schools and develop good to outstanding practice. Her training specialised in Early Years and Music but she has taught across the age ranges including a year in a secondary school. Fiona gained further qualifications in Leadership and Special Educational Needs, which she is passionate about. Outside school she enjoys singing, playing the piano and clarinet, photography and cooking.

  • Mrs Jo Price

    Head of School

    Jo is an experienced teacher, having taught in both mainstream and special needs settings, covering KS1-KS3 (5-14 years) and in senior management positions. Jo was the Inclusion Manager for North West Academies Trust, supporting schools with Safeguarding and Special Educational Needs. She has recently been Head of School at Grosvenor Park Free School Academy and has now joined the team at Weaverham Primary Academy to support Ms Whittaker.

  • Mrs Jo Ferrari

    Deputy Head

    After a successful Army Career, Jo obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree and subsequently a Post Graduate Certificate of Education at Liverpool (Hope) University. She began her second career in teaching in Chester – moving to Wrexham and then coming back to Cheshire. Joanne gained a Masters in Education in 2016 from Glyndwr University. In her spare time she enjoys walking her three dogs, doing different craft activities and creating ‘culinary masterpieces’.

    Abbie has recently qualified at Liverpool John Moores University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Primary Education. This is her first year in teaching and she is excited to begin her NQT year and join the Weaverham Primary Academy team.
    In her spare time, she enjoys doing lots of exercise and training for 5K charity runs. She also enjoys walking her two dogs and travelling to different cities.

    Alex qualified at Edgehill University in 2015 where he studied Primary Education with QTS. He has since taught in Greater Manchester within Key Stage 2.
    In his spare time, he enjoys watching sport, playing rugby and spending time with his family and friends.

    Becky completed her degree in Biology with Conservation and Biodiversity and has since enjoyed volunteering and working with children, particularly in outdoor education. She is now excited to be joining Weaverham Academy to start her second year of teaching.
    Outside school Becky loves to spend her spare time outdoors, going to the theatre or with friends.

    Laura completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Early Years Education. Previous to that she completed a three year Bachelor of Science (with Hons) degree in Psychology.
    In her spare time she enjoys days out with her family and baking. She is currently on maternity leave.

    I have been a Teaching Assistant in primary schools for over 30 years. I qualified as a HLTA 10 years ago.
    I worked at University Primary Academy Kidsgrove for 23 years and moved to Weaverham Academy in January 2018.
    In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog Ruby and relaxing at my caravan in North Wales.

  • Mrs Janine McAughey

    Swan Class Teaching Assistant 1-1

    Janine has worked for many years within school and is an EYFS practitioner. She currently works as a one to one, specialising in SEND and behavioral issues.
    In her spare time she enjoys travelling with her family, rugby, motorsports and looking after her numerous reptiles.

  • Mrs Sandra Hulse

    Robin Class Teaching Assistant

    Sandra has been a Teaching Assistant for many years, having taught all age groups from Reception, to Post 16. Sandra has a good understanding of Special Needs having worked in a Special Needs School for over 5 years. Before working in education, Sandra worked for a large multinational company working in Sales, Customer Service and Logistics.
    In her spare time Sandra loves being with her family and enjoying their company. She has a great thirst for nature, wildlife, gardening and the outdoors, especially with her dog by her side. She enjoys watching sport and generally loving life!

  • Mrs Julie O’Sullivan

    Goldfinch Class Teaching Assistant

    Julie is a qualified Nursery Nurse who works as a Teaching Assistant in key stage 2. She is also a trained ELSA and has experience working with all age groups.
    In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, painting canvas's and walking her dog.

    Lisa has worked with children in the Early Years for many years. She also runs our Before and After school club.

  • Mr Peter Lowe

    Site Maintenance Officer

    Before working between Oak View Academy and Weaverham Primary Academy, Peter has had a variety of jobs from developing business opportunities in London to being the verger at Chester Cathedral and St David's Cathedral in North Wales.
    Outside work, Peter enjoys spending time with his very active family and friends.

    Safeguarding Support Worker

    Louise works as the Safeguarding Case Worker across Weaverham Primary Academy and Oak View Academy.
    She is a qualified teacher but has spent several years working as a teaching assistant with some of our most vulnerable children and families.
    Outside school she enjoys spending time with family and friends and walking her dogs.

  • Mrs Rachel Binley

    Admin Assistant

    Rachel is a mum of 2 grown-up children. She has worked with children aged 5 to 16 years, with social emotional and mental health difficulties for over 10 years both as a teaching assistant and in the school office.
    Rachel has worked at Weaverham Primary Academy since January 2019. She works in the school office in both Weaverham Academy and Oak View Academy.
    Outside school Rachel loves to spend time with her family and friends outdoors, especially in the garden, or at a fitness club/the gym.
