Welcome back! I hope you have had a fantastic Summer and look forward to the new school year.
Our school day will continue to start at 8:40am and finish at 3:10pm.
Our PE day this term is Wednesday and we will be swimming each Tuesday afternoon until the October half term. As we will now be getting changed just before the lesson, children are welcome to bring their PE kit in and leave it on their peg.
Homework will be available to access on Google Classroom each week with some occasional work sent home in our blue Homework books.
We will have a spelling quiz each Friday, so please support your child to practice throughout the week if you can. This will help to boost their confidence, ready for the quiz.
Reading books are changed on a Monday and Friday – please try to read with your child every evening as it really does support their progression through reading and writing.
Please ensure that your child brings in a water bottle every day. It would also be really helpful if you could write your child’s name in their jumpers as they can often get muddled up at playtime.
Below is a topic web that shows what we will be studying this term. We have lots of exciting topics that closely link together including the Stone Age in History and Rocks in Science. We have lots of exciting and engaging activities planned over the coming weeks.
We are really looking forward to working with you all!
