The reception children have been looking at number bonds to 10 and working out missing numbers. In year 1 we’ve been exploring number bonds to 20 and using number lines to find missing numbers.

We continued our topic work on vehicles this week and looked at when cars were invented and how they’ve changed.

The children have loved looking at lots of different books this week and discussing which is their favourite book.

It’s been very busy in our English lessons the children found a tent in the classroom on Monday surrounded by paper planes; they had to think about who the tent might belong to. The children found out that the ten belonged to Mia and Ben who are characters in our new story Paper Planes by Jim Helmore and Richard Jones.

The children have been looking at ordering numbers and deciding which is the biggest and smallest.

We started our new topic this week which is all about vehicles; we began by thinking about how vehicles have changed and what vehicles in the past might of looked like.
