A small boat, a small hope
Happy New year. We have started back as if hadn’t ever been away. As we are struggling to get to grips with spelling we are trying new things this half term and it looks promising with almost everyone achieving 7 or more in their weekly test and many achieving ten out of ten.
Our new topic is Natural disasters a very relevant topic due to the global events; Australian Wildfires and the earthquakes in Puerto Rico. Check out our class pages for a link to the topic overview.
In English we have started a new book called A story like the wind It is a story using flashbacks and centres around a group refugees in a boat which is stuck without an engine on a large sea. We had the opportunity to imagine how cramped and uncomfortable it would be in these conditions.
