We have had a busy week in Kingfisher and started Art Week off by exploring hues and tints to create abstract sunset silhouette pictures of Stone Henge. We continued our Stone Henge theme by creating clay sculptures and discussed what we thought Stone Henge could’ve possibly been built for.

In English, we have continued our work on The Bog Baby and this week, we have written our own stories about discovering an unusual creature. There were some brilliant ideas!

We enjoyed an RE lesson this week and continued to learn about Judaism. We learnt about the Jewish festival of Sukkot and worked together to make natural ground collages of Sukkahs, combining RE and Art!

In Science, we have been investigating the properties of rocks and worked collaboratively to decide whether our rocks were igneous, metamorphic or sedimentary. We applied our knowledge of how rocks are formed and looked closely at the characteristics of each rock to make a group decision.

We were really lucky to get an extra playtime today, too! In Celebration Assembly this morning, we were awarded for having the top class attendance this week. Well done Team Kingfisher!

Have a wonderful weekend. See you next week!
