Fly me to the moon
What a week we have had in Skylark. This week we have continued our incredible work on space. The children have written setting descriptions of the moon in English using ideas from our book ‘Where Once We Stood’ and our exemplar text ‘Lunar Report’. In science we have learned all about the phases of the moon from a waxing crescent moon to a full moon. By far the best part of science this was week was making the phases of the moon with biscuits!
In PE we managed to beat the weather and get outside with Miss Burch. We have been practising different skills for invasion games including, marking, passing and intercepting.
This week also saw the end to our maths topic – addition and subtraction. Next week we will be starting multiplication and division. We have been learning new vocabulary for this term including factors, multiple and prime numbers.
