It’s Cold Outside!

Welcome back to all Robin Class children and parents/carers. We hope you had a wonderful festive break and are raring to go!

The classroom has taken on a chilly feel this week as the children begin their winter and polar regions topic. Our role play area has become a place to explore polar animals and we have loved reading in our icy igloo. We have been focusing on the Arctic this week; especially polar bears and their habitat. In our creative area, we have made 3D polar bear masks and produced wonderful paintings for our display. Some of us also made igloos.

In literacy we have been showing off all our polar bear learning by writing some facts. We have been using our phonics skills to sound out words and write short sentences.

We have been excited to meet the Number Blocks aswell this week! These animated characters have been helping us to understand everything about number and is making our learning even more fun.

On Friday we all acted out a polar bear drama. It was great to explore how polar bears live and hunt in the Arctic.
