First of all, I must say how impressed I am with everyone’s efforts this week. It has been amazing. You have all tried your hardest and I am very proud of how well you have done.
We started the week by reading ‘zoo’ by Anthony Browne. We have looked into the character ‘Dad’ and discussed how mean and nasty he is to both his family and the animals. The work you completed on the thoughts and feelings of the characters was brilliant, you really showed how well you understood them and were able to put yourself in their shoes.
Because of the nature of maths this week, we have been doing plenty of hands on activities. This hasn’t stopped you getting all of the work done and doing it to a good standard. We now have a great understanding of grouping which is brilliant. Next week, we will be using this for multiplication and division… my favourite!
The models you have produced have been brilliant too. I can’t wait to see what you do with next week’s challenge!
The learner of the week has their certificate. They have received this because of their positive attitude to learning.
