This week was a wonderful week for Goldfinch Class.  Sharing our favourite books throughout the week has been great fun with lots of recommendations and suggestions for the class library. We have had a wide range of books shared in class this week and it has been lovely to see everyone talk so passionately about which books they like.  Throughout reading week we have done lots of fun activities such as, reading, designing book covers, completing book reviews, sharing our favourite books and having a guest author come in to school.

It was brilliant having Amy come in and share her book with the class.  We each designed our own characters and explained how they were unique.  We look forward to having her back in school again soon.

Although we have had reading week, we have still been working very hard on everything else. We have conquered addition & subtraction and are now moving on to multiplication & division. In English we have started to plan our stories.  Forest school was dry… hooray! This week we made shelters, luckily we didn’t need them, and learned how to light a fire using a flint and steel. Next week is our final forest school session.

All students have worked hard this week.  It has been a brilliant week for all involved.
