We’ve had a brilliant start to the new school year in Kingfisher Class. We have finally discovered that the mystery creature leaving sticky, blue footprints in our classroom was ‘The Bog Baby’ – this is the text we are using in our English lessons, where we are learning to write a narrative. We enjoyed an afternoon in the Forest School area too, working together to build Bog Baby habitats in the hope that we can attract some to our school grounds! Watch this space…

We have launched several topics this week including the Stone Age in our History lessons and Rocks in Science. We went on a rock hunt around the school grounds to see what different rocks we could find and decide whether they were human-made or naturally-occurring. We are looking forward to finding out more about these topics over the coming weeks.

In Music, we are learning the song, ‘Let Your Spirit Fly’ and we really enjoyed an Art lesson inspired by the prehistoric art discovered in the Caves of Lascaux. Have a lovely weekend, see you next week!
