It’s been another good week in Skylark Class. As well as completing some assessments, we’ve been continuing with the formal method of short division as well as analysing the model text, writing a short setting description and using semi-colons in our work. Mrs Capewell and I have been incredibly impressed with the children’s writing and maths skills and the progress that they are making.
Forest schools brought more excitement – making treasure maps and finding treasure. We talked about fake news to reassure the children they the news that they are hearing is not real and what they need to do if they are worried.
Through short bursts of activities, the children are making good progress in their reading, spelling and tables work. Please continue to practise all three at home as the repetition is really making a difference.
Have a lovely weekend, Mrs Price and Mrs Capewell.
