Welcome back, I hope you’ve all had a great half term break.
We have jumped straight back into routine and took the week to finish off our units of work from term 1. The children have completed their work on Place Value in Maths and will be moving onto Addition and Subtraction next week.
We are at the end of our English journey with The Bog Baby too and we are excited to see what our new text is going to be. All will be revealed next week…
We have had some deep and meaningful conversations this week, prompted by COP26 and have discussed global warming, plastic pollution and deforestation. We have lots of enthusiastic environmentalists amidst the group who are eager to do what they can to save the planet. These conversations have also linked well with our new Shared Reading text, The Sea Book.
We have really enjoyed Music this week and loved designing and making our own musical instruments. Many of us were inspired by the assembly visit from Pete, and decided to make guitars! We absolutely loved playing them in our Celebration Assembly this morning!
Have a brilliant weekend, see you next week.
